Lori Osborn, President

After retirement, Lori, her husband Mark, and their cat Miss Ruby moved from Boca Raton, FL to the upstate. They chose the upstate after vacationing in the area for many years and loving it.

Lori has always volunteered her free time by sitting on various non-profit boards and teaching adult education classes to Administrative Professionals. Since moving to Easley, she has been appointed to the Picken’s County Library Board of Directors and partnered with Frankie Lawson in creating the group “From the Heart.” This is a group of yarn crafters who make and donate items to our local community as well as our service members This group meets every Tuesday at the Dacusville Community Center.

Frankie Lawson, Vice President

Frankie grew up in Greenville, near Judson mill in the 60’s and 70’s. Life was very simple in those days. She moved to Dacusville in 1995 looking for that same quiet and simplistic life. She found it! She worked as a Registered Nurse for approximately 20 years while raising 2 teenage girls and a son all on her own since 2008.

Frankie has been involved with Dacusville Community Center and was one of the original Volunteer members of the Dacusville Library in 2015 when it opened. She has been Pack Leader in Boy Scouts with her son for several years. And now has been Vice President of Dacusville Community Club for 3 years.

Frankie has a room at the Community Center where, along with friend Lori Osborn, they have a Yarn Group, From the Heart. The group of ladies make and donate Yarn Crafted items to several Schools, Nursing Homes, Cancer Centers and Military.

Tasha Carpenter, Treasurer & Acting Secretary

A Dacusville local, Tasha lives just a mile down the road from the community center. Deeply invested in her community, she and her husband, along with their four children, recently restored one of Dacusville’s original homes, built in 1895—bringing new life to a beloved childhood home of a longtime neighbor while carefully preserving its unique character.

Coming from a long line of veterans, Tasha has served as a commissioned officer in the United States Coast Guard for 19 years. A true patriot, she is passionate about the military and gives back through her work with the local Quilts of Valor chapter, sewing patriotic quilts for veterans touched by war.

A dedicated volunteer, Tasha has worked with organizations supporting young parents and currently serves as a co-leader with the Girl Scouts. She values an intentional lifestyle—growing her own vegetables, cultivating native plants, baking all her own bread, embracing a simpler and better quality life.
